FAQ

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical in the Cannabis sativa plant, also known as cannabis or hemp.  It has been used for centuries and the healing properties are well documented.  The recent 2018 Farm Bill making CBD legal for use in most US states is still a somewhat fluid topic.  Many who have heard about CBD and how it might be used often confuse CBD with Marijuana.  The kind of cannabis plant that typically gets you “high”.  Hopefully some of the info below will help clarify the confusion.  Please reach out if you have specific questions.  info@goldiesbrand.com

The short answer is no but, that is not to say you won’t feel anything.  CBD effects the body and mind differently than marijuana.  There are some similar characteristics.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, are two of many different cannabinoids present in marijuana. When in the body, CBD and THC interact with cannabinoid receptors to help treat or limit the effects of various conditions

The two types of CBD products we use are either:

Full-Spectrum = up to .3% THC

or

Broad-Spectrum = 0% THC

Full spectrum CBD contains all of the cannabinoids and other plant compounds. Broad spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids and plant compounds other than THC. CBD isolate only contains CBD and is often found in crystal or powder form.

Full-Spectrum products contain trace amounts of THC (up to .3%) whereas, broad-spectrum and Isolate contain 0% THC.

Other than the THC, there are other key differences between the 3 products.  CBD is most effective in the natural and full form.  There are benefits that are active by the very small amount of THC in the full-spectrum making it most appealing and useful to many.  Full-spectrum is the least adulterated form. Whole plant.

Broad-Spectrum is the second least adulterated form.  Everything that full-spectrum has but the THC has been fully removed.

Isolate is processed to a point where the CBD is isolated and crystallized.  This is typically the most processed form of the product.

Goldies only uses full and broad-spectrum CBD.

You should always consult with your veterinarian but studies have show CBD is safe for most pets.

CBD Oil for Dogs: What You Need to Know

Yes.  Most orders receive free shipping in the USA.

Everyone and every animal has a different response to CBD.  There are some standards by weight and those are published on our packaging.

The best rule of thumb is to start out small and add more over time.

Our full-spectrum CBD contains trace amounts of THC (up to .3%).  This means you have to consume a lot for it to show up but it is possible.

If you have concern, please use the broad-spectrum products.  Contact us with further questions.

Absolutely!  You can too.  The Goldies dog treats are manufactured in a GMP FDA certified space.  They are safe for humans.  Cats love them too.
